ProGuard Exteriors were appointed to improve the exterior of a 3 bed semi-detached property in Bushey around the Watford area. The customer wanted a cleaner, brighter finish for the home while also improving energy efficiency with a spray cork insulation system.

Overview

The property was a 3 bed semi-detached home in Bushey, Hertfordshire. The customer was looking to upgrade the exterior appearance of the house while also improving the energy efficiency of the property.

Rather than using base coat or insulation boards, the customer opted for a CorkSol spray cork insulation system. This approach allowed the existing exterior to be repaired, blended and coated with a fresh white finish while providing the benefits of a spray cork system.

Our Response

Following assessment of the property, ProGuard Exteriors carried out crack repairs and render repairs to the front gable before applying the new CorkSol finish. Areas where the pebbledash had come away were carefully repaired using a Tyrolean pot to add textured render and help blend the repaired areas into the existing pebbledash effect.

Once the preparation and repairs were complete, CorkSol spray cork was applied in White across the exterior in three layers. This created a refreshed, brighter finish while helping support the customer’s goal of improving the property’s energy efficiency.
